In my view not if they still have bones in.
I used to give Shaney sardines a couple of times a week ,He loved them .Good for dogs .I used to buy the ones from Sainsburys ,skinless and boneless in olive oil .The bones in tinned fish are soft anyway . Just mash them up well .

Mine have sardines or pilchards in oil several times a week, but I share one tin between three dogs as if you give them too many they can come out the other end rather quickly.
If the bones are good for us-then they should be for dogs-and cats-also. They are quite brittle bones any way when tinned.
And yes-the fish is fine-full of good fish oils.
But are you a dog, desktop?

I used to give them to my dog.
My dog had craniomandibular ostopathy, when she was with the vets for a week, she was fed on pilchards with them, it is so good for them, with or without tom sauce, but lily likes it with sauce :-)
whatever you do don't give them dogfish
I give my dog tinned sardines in olive oil, it does wonder for his coat, he loves them, although I only give him a half a can as he is only a small dog. He loves all sorts of fish and I think he would prefer it over meat given half the chance.
yes but too much can give them the runs.
unless they know how to use a tin opener, it should be ok. Boom boom
An Alsatian wine goes very well with them.
desktop, you seem to have a weak tummy, you had that again this weekend.
I used to give Max my GSD a tin of sardines every week usually in tomato sauce he loved them, and it never did him any harm.
Don't give it tinned. That won't be safe. Take it out of the tin and they will have a fighting chance !
Krausse... if you're going to use another name as your previous one is suspended at least change your writing style.

thanks guys xx
Apparently not due to the amount of bones although some have devoured the occassional slipper without causing too much harm !
yes, preferable in oil, its good for their coats, as is tuna, once or twice a week. ( vets advice )
