Even when you both treating each other as equals surely one is more slightly dominant? Are you a dominant person in one aspect of your life and submissive in a relationship or vice versa? Does being more or less dominant affect your mental stance on the relationship in any way, does one have to take control to "Wear the trousers'' in order to create "order"? Maybe you're a psychological genius that lets the other think they are in control when really it is you? Is dominance an outdated thing and maybe has no place in our society?

I just asked him....he says we're pretty much equal and I agree.
My OH likes to think he's the dominant one MickyM but in truth (like most women) I have the upper hand and am indeed a genius at letting him THINK he is in charge and that all the good ideas were his all along (NOT)
Same as missnemesis. Men are so easy to manipulate.
I'm the dominant one only cos someone has to keep him on the straight and narrow and I drew the short straw:) (the previous 2 wives bailed out)

Splutter!
lol @ Dris...

We're both pretty laid back. The only problem is nothing gets done as neither of us nag each other.

My son just said that if he ever raises his voice then I back down. That's not dominance though. I consider that to be respect. He would do anything for me and tends to spoil me...so if I've made him raise his voice 9 times out of 10 it would be me in the wrong.
question of out of bed or in bed.........
In bed....that would be me.
lol @ Butch

I would hate anyone dominating me -I just cant do submissive ever. (stubborn biatch really)

So it looks like a high percentage of relationships have dominant partners, mainly the male who is actually having his strings pulled by the female which shows the male is actually not in charge at all but is led to think so by his kind woman.
we take it in turns....
You got it Micky :-D
