Hello I am in a bit of a situation really. My partner and I are going to have a baby soon yet some things dont really make sense to me. OK here goes we were watching the local news the other day and there were some scenes of young animal cruelty on and he came out with the comment like 'he would be less upset had it been a human baby'. I was initially taken a back by this and thought to myself oh well he just must really like animals I guess. Then we ordered a chinese and he ordered beef and pork. I remembered what his comment was and just though what a hypocrite!
He loves animals more than human babies yet he eats animals!
I really am starting to think he is a complete waste of space and will be a terrible father. What should I do?

Velvetee I find it a cooincidece that your boyfriend said exactly the same thing to you and we are both pregnant. Its horrible having a loser as a boyfriend isnt it. This might cheer you up though:

Yes that's the one Creep, he said he couldn't bear to watch the report as it broke his heart. I asked him would he feel the same had it been a child and he said no. I said I couldn't understand that mentality, but he just said he loves animals.
Like you Creep, I'm also pregnant, 23 weeks today, (how far are you) I don't hold this comment against him, I know he will make a great dad and do everything he can to look after the baby and me, but understand how you would feel. At the moment I tend to over react to the most minor things, put it down to hormonal changes.
The English are reknown for being animal lovers and his mother had 3 dogs, one of which has been put down. She still cries when she thinks of the dog and I actually think she loves her dogs more than her two sons.
