I'm printing invitations but I'm not sure which is the correct wording! I think it should be -

"You are cordingly invited....." Although my sister is convienced it "You are cordially invited...." but that doesn't sound right!

Are either of those right?

Please help this will be the third time the invites have been changed and its driving me mad!

Sorry, but your sis is right!

the word 'cordingly' doesn't exisit in my dictionary. 'cordially' means 'warm and friendly' and 'welcoming', so I guess your sister is annoyingly correct!!

The top 3 searches uses cordingly

...are we sure people?
Could your google search results be wrong? I actually searched out my dictionary/thesaurus and looked up the words, and your word wasn't in it!
Question Author
I know and when you put it in word it doesn't recognise it but then when you search thats what comes up.

It will look soooo stupid if I get it wrong!

What would you do?
Go with 'cordially' - why have you had to change the inviations 3 times???
The top three are written by people with bebo and myspace pages. It is cordially. HTH is hope this helps!

Ah because firstly the hall let us down so I had to change the venue address then second time the toner in the printer gave up on me so most of them are faded and now I'm sister looked at what we'd put and wanted to change it and to be honest hers kinda 'bigs' it up slightly more than mine!
So I'm going to go with that option although want to get the C word right!

...its a Las vegas themed surprise 50th birthday party and totally stressing me out! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ah, I see, so DTH? means 'does this help'... phew..it was doing my head in!!
Lovenut, I've looked at the link you posted and the people are rubbish at spelling and grammar.
