why does my boyfriend insist on telling me which girls he finds fit and nice looking whenever we watch the tv. he also asks me if i think certain lads r good looking. he knows it winds me up, so why does he bother!!!!!!!! grrr x

my bloke does it, but I agree with him. and why shouldnt he see other girls as attractive, Just coz I;m with him doesnt mean all other blokes are ugly to me. I trust him thats all that counts. And hey its tv whats the chances of him going off with them

i know that he wouldnt go off with them anyways cuz i trust him. i just dont see why he has to constantly tell me who is gorgeous and who he fancies. iv told him not too and he asked if i was jealous, its just not very nice to hear.

If he thinks it may make you jealous and get a reaction he would do it even more. Even though we do trust them i still dont like thinking my man fancies another women! Dont let on it gets to you though as if they are anything like my husband he would probably go corrr at DOT on eastenders to get a reaction!

why is it not nice to hear? Sometimes when my blokes looking through Zoo I do say 'well sorry I dont look like a porn star' :-) but hey there's blokes I think are fit in my town and he knows I do. Just dont react he'll get bored

I think its a matter of manners and discretion here ! At the end of the day its about respect and I for one would not like it much if my partner commented on other girls - it would be rude, I certainly would not comment on another guy being gorgeous to my partner ! BUT - its human nature to window shop and we inevitably do find other people attractive, but we keep that in our heads at the end of the day....thinking about it one thing - braodcasting/acting on it is another and not acceptable IMHO.

Hmmm, he is a little insecure at the moment. You need to ask him what is wrong. This insecurity will turn to paranoia.
He is looking to see what type of guy you go for.
You need to tell him that your not interested in playing silly games.
I went with a girl like this once. If i was out in town and a girl walked past me that fit the profile of who i said i liked on TV , i got loads of aggro.

my ex use to tell me to duck down in the car if you use to see a pretty woman . i never said nothing about it for years was with him for 17 and half years . when we was splitting up i really hated him for what he use to tell me over the years like he could of done better . nooooooooo way would i ever ignore some one saying stuff like that again it has eaten way at me for a long time . my fella does it. in a strange way they are telling us that all though they think this other person is nice, you are better cos he loves and wants to be with you and when he asks who you thinks is nice its his ego boost cos you think hes better cos you love and want to be with him. sad but true
