Hi,
can anyone suggest how to find out the National Insurance number for a lady, in her early sixtie, living in U S A..
She emigrated about 35 years ago and does not have a clue, nor do I, how to retrieve the number.
I think she has an idea that maybe she will return to England in the future so knowing her number would be handy
Thanks in anticipation Chris

You will not be able to obtain the lady's National Insurance Number yourself because of the data protection act.. The lady should write to a DWP office giving as many details as she can, her past addresses when she resided here, as many as she can remember, her full name, any previous names and date of birth. A birth certificate and/or marriage certificate will also speed up the process.
