Wallflowers (Cheiranthus) have many different varieties, varying from dwarf (2 in) to those growing to 24 in. Most like fertile soil in an open position. Some are suitable for poor soil and use in rockeries. March / April is best planting time for most of the UK. You can still plant out now in May.
Sunflowers are funner; what time do you plant them anyone?
Sunflowers (Helianthus) should be planted in autumn or spring in well drained soil in a sunny spot.
