The rain has stopped...for the time being, but it's still blowing an 'ooligan. I hope a good summer is on it's way, as it did in '76 would be nice.

The Heritage Centre fo me today, if it's worth opening.

Morning boaty, seems like your weather is as crazy as ours, I can't wait for winter well autumn will do, just to get away from the heat.

Both feeling like wrung out dish cloths after this week, so doing not a lot, watching people do some silly things in the snow and ice ! Xxxx

morning boaty and seekerz. Wow, what a night !! I've been awake ALL night because of the howling gales battering against the windows, so I just got up. Have to inspect any danage as soon as it's daylight.

Oh golly, you're welcome to it !! I don't do humidity at all, so I'll be so happy to see it gone.

Are the water levels going down over there ? Sounds like the wind still giving you all a work out too...what gave you all been doing to deserve that !

Yes I hate humidity too but right now, I'd happily settle for a few days of it. I've forgotten what humidity feels like. Some houses , especially in the SW, are up to their windows in water and some poor sods have the water up to their rooftops. All those addresses that are something-on-Thames should now be changed to Something IN-Thames,

Morning Jan xxx Much the same here. I've been out the back and put things back where they should be, the security lights, put in mainly to make it nice to sit out there in summer and watch the hedgehogs. :o} That took about an hour. I'm sitting here with a coffee now.

seekz the water is still rising on the Severn and the Thames. It ain't finished with us yet. In places along the coast the sea is breaking over the sea walls some of the waves are higher than the buildings.

I've got a zumba class at 8am and the very last thing I feel like doing is leaping around like an eejit!

I'm watching a recording from Scottish BBC I recorded last night of Julie Fowlis. An amazing young lady.

I've never heard of her. Forgive my ignorance. Who is she?

She sings in Gaelic, plays several instruments, has a good sense of humour, is a mother of two young children and drop dead gorgeous.
