I do. I was eleven and I had to have a day off school. I got told off by the Headmistress the next day, for being 'snowed in'
I'm younger than you, lol!^^
A lot of people are younger than me, cupid.
Thank you Jack, you've just solved a dispute here, OH thought it was 64 but we worked out it had to be 63
Cupid, you've got grandchildren, you must be older than Tilly and me!

Lived in Northumberland then and were snowed up. I was due to fly to Hong Kong - panic in case taxi wouln't make it to the Newcastle airport. Plane o Heathrow was late due to deicing but i made it to Heathrow with minutes to spare. 28 hours on a Comet - probably non-stop these days!
I remember doing a paper round that winter, ten bob a week and frozen assets.
I was only 18 when I got married!
Oh baza, still married?
I remember there was so much snow that the council had to take it away in lorries. They dumped it in huge piles it in a disused car park, the last of it was still in the carpark in June.
I was only 17, so there!!
Not surprised your assets were frozen baza, those snow drifts were ever so deep!
I remember it vividly. I'd just had a leg op and came out of hospital just before Xmas. It was quite difficult getting around on crutches with my left leg in plaster.........
Cupid, Tilly was 11, so 6 years younger
It starting snowing Boxing Day '62 and carried on until March '63. Thick ice for months as I remember. '47 was worse though, opened our back door to a wall of snow!
My dad was seriously ill and in hospital for a lot of the time we had snow, and he died in the middle of March. The ground was frozen and he was buried after they managed to dig the grave - a horrible time
Remember 1963 well, but I would agree with ladybirder, 1946 was worse
sorry 47 not 46
I wonder how many on here remember it though.
I was 16 and remember it snowing on Boxing Day. The following day it was higher than the tops of my wellies! When my youngest brother helped my Dad clear the drive, you could only see the top of his bobble hat!
