I have noticed that sometimes when I get out of bed in the mornings I feel quite dizzy and I can't walk in a straight line. I found it quite amusing at the start because no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop myself from walking into the wall! Its a bit annoying if I'm in a rush though!! I'm not all that concerned about it, just wondering why it happens and if anyone else gets this?

Low bloody pressure or low blood sugars...maybe.
getting up too fast and being half asleep can also cause this. I can never walk in straight line when i have to get up for kids in middle of night.
When you get out of bed, don't leap straight up, sit on the side of the bed and wriggle your feet and clench and relax your buttocks a few times before standing up. If its postural hypotension, this should sort it.
My bf takes great pleasure in watching me trying to put my slipper boots on in the morning for this very reason. He also take covers and calls "timber" sometimes. :o)

Will try the suggestions thank you. That would make sense as I tend to lie in to last minute and literally open my eyes and jump out of bed straight away! I will make an effort to set it 5 minutes earlier so I don't have to rush out of bed and see if it helps.

Not on any medication at all sqad.

I do get pain in my neck and shoulders and bottom of my back but I think thats because I sit slouched over my desk all day!
CAJ.....OK...it does sound as though it takes time for the circulation to adjust to the upright position as suggested by woofgang......no big deal, just sit on the edge of the bed for a minute.
