Perhaps they would be better deployed sniffing out persons that smoke 'ILLEGAL' substances?

Maybe they should start by stopping BMWs in and around such districts as Tower Hamlets?

Perhaps - and the cokeheads who work in the city, but sniffing THEM out might cause more problems than they solve.
they would get absolutely wasted if they sniffed me
Does this mean that police officers actually stop traffic just on the off-chance of finding a smoking driver? And then they have to find out if he/she is doing that in a company car? And people say that the European Court of Justice is daft!
Smoking in any car is a dangerous distraction, and means one hand may not be free in an emergency.

And furthermore, all company cars should have a prominent sticker.

And furthermore, any BMW without a company car sticker should automatically be stopped & checked out for illegal substances.

Or should we all just go to some nice friendly place like Libya?
it only applies if the co car is used by more than one person. ridiculous waste of time and money.

(bugger just realised i haven't put the no smoking signs up in the new pool cars.....)

What a waste of time. Even a non smoker in the company of other smokers will wrench of cigarette smoke on his/her clothes.
Well it's good ammo for reducing front line services. Clearly if thats all Plod have to do then they can be culled like the rest of us.
