But I had a chest X-ray yesterday (Wednesday).
How long should I leave it before ringing up the Docs for results?

TIA

If it's serious, within a few hours ... if it's routine, a few days.
Our local hospital take around 4 or 5 days, if it's a straightforward plain chest x-ray. Your hospital may vary slightly but it shouldn't be too far off this.
Bit vague ... if they see something serious, they'll inform your GP within a few hours, is what I meant.

It's routine so maybe I will try on Monday. Many thanks.
If there was a problem at all the hospital would have rushed it to your Dr that day, and even could have got a doctor there to see you on the spot, so the longer you dont here, the better really.

Good Luck, icemaiden.....hope all completely normal, as i'm sure it will be. :0)

I had an ultrasound on the 20th last month, and I had to ring the Doctor yesterday as heard nothing, as they saw no problem, and forgot about it, to get results and go in for medical review, and check up, which i did this morning. All tickedy-boo :0)

Thanks yogi. As an ex smoker I think doctors air in the side of caution. Which is good to know. Fab news about your results too. Xx
Yogi - shouldn't that be tickety boo-boo?
Thanks IceM....appreciated. Good to know you're ok too. xx

Spot on, Welshy.....tickety boo boo it is. :0)
In about a week......I cannot think of any routine chest X-Ray appearance that would need your GP knowing within HOURS!
