I have only gone and pulled something at the gym!
Think its my rear deltoid muscle, was doing some relatively light free weights and felt it go. My normal course of action is bath with muscle soak, followed by cold compress and an ibruprofen gel rubbed in before bed.
Would anyone disagree and advise different. Going golfing Sat - Thur in Spain, hope this doesnt slow me down!!

You will get good advice on CB.
lucky you as to the 'flog'.

take a hot water bottle as hot as you can bear or even hotter and put a towel between it and your muscle and have it on you while wyou watch the news - two to three times a day.........I would have used aspirin rather than IBF as it tends to get bruising out better.

Take some Arnica with you and apply if you tweak again.

jd ..LOL...never mind.

Not sure about the hot bath, but get a packet of frozen peas from the fridge, put it on your shoulder and when you go to bed tonight, take Ibuprofen 600mgs and use the Ibuprofen Gel.Dont do any more Gym work this week.

thanks sqad.
Will avoid gym. Luckily, off work this week anyway, had 2 weeks leave I needed to take, so rest not a problem,
that advice of mine came from an Aussie physio that worked for a major oil co - I did mine in slipping on a garden path in autumn - the deltoid started causing me grief a couple of weeks later......she did combine it with massage..
(and it worked)
The other thing is slow your swing down when you get there - a pause at the top (so its almost like feeling the end of your club - they never teach that in the mags) and then a full follow through - works wonder for the game!! I was off 5 in the US.....but havent played over here for a wee while.......

5, good acheivement DT.
I dont belong to a club yet, still trying to improve my game. But the weather here is so awful, the clubs been in the garage since September!
I usually get 21 shots when we play. My best round ever was +12 at a municiple in Liverpool last year! I havent arranged the trip, I was a late comer as I had to take this leave from work as had too many days accumulated. I am only booked to play twice, then me and another "not that good at golf" lad are going to have 3 days chilling out!
