One of my granddaughters has had a sore throat for three weeks now. At first the doctor gave her antibiotics for tonsills. Last week she had finished the antibiotics and had large ulcers all over her tonsills. Today she is not at all well, very tired and not at all well. the doctor has now given her a throat spray and said she must be run down. It seems strange that it is not getting any better.

Bit young for glandular fever, but yes, it is possible.
See your GP and suggest this, as a simple blood test will rule it out.

Many thanks Sqad, I have told my daughter to take her to see another doctor and see what he says. She was also told today to take her for a swine flu jab on wednesday. I wasnt really happy about that if she isnt well to start with.
