How long is 'a while'? Are they usually regular?

Stress can do strange things to someones body..
Yes stress will affect her periods. However as you say she needs to see a doctor and iI'd suggest doing a pregnancy test to rule that out, if it's a possibility.
Severe stress can play havoc with your menstral cycle and cause stomach problems.

Thanx folks for your quick replies. I´ll get back to you later after i´ve spoken to her.
Not enough information....are her periods, regular?.....are they heavy?....any bleeding between periods?........any pain or bleeding after intercourse?
has she actually taken a pregnancy test (presuming theres a chance she may have fallen pregnant)

Hi everyone, even though i´m concerned, it seems as if i overreacted. Mind you its kind of hard talking about it with her. She says she last menustrated in early december, but this isnt the 1st time this has happened, it also occurred about 9mnths ago, while doing a study course in Malta for a month. she says the period pain isn´t that bad. I´ve begged her to go and see her GP. She now knows i´m concerned, so i think she´ll be going to see someone tomorrow morning.
blood after intercourse, i havent seen any.
No big deal.....monitor the situation.
