If a stranger came up to you and asked you if you were a "Pisces" or other starsign, what would you think? Let's say they came up to you as a customer and asked. Would you think they were being inappropriate? Would you be flattered? Would you answer truthfully? Would you think they genuinely wanted to know YOUR star sign, and were actually interested in you?

No chance!.......I would just tell them to get lost!...
If it IS a chat-up line, it's not one I would use with any great expectation of success!
I doubt it's a chat up line. Nothing 'inappropriate'...more likely market research.
Why would it be inappropriate?

I would worry about anyone who thinks a star sign is a gateway to a relationship/ leg-over!
actually, it's quite unusual to see Pluto and Mickey on the same thread.

I don't think it's inappropriate - it's not quite the same as asking for your phone number, for instance - but I'm not sure it's a chat up line either. It might just be an astrology fan looking for a fellow believer.
What kind of shop was it?
I didnt think blokes were into starsign stuff
"If a stranger came up to you and asked you if you were a "Pisces"

I'd ask them to repeat it, just in case they said, "are you a p1sshead?"

:-))
lol, very good..
they were probably trying to distract you whilst their mates nicked something
But this seems to be shopworkers who are making the enquiry.....as someone else asked-what kind of shop was it in?
hold tight, folks.. Scarlett's last post says she can't work, so this must be a "question for a friend".
I'd be worried that they were intent on stealing my identity...............once they have you star-sign things can only end badly !
Scarlett what sort ot shop do you work in and what type of person was the customer who asked the question and could it concievably have been a diversionary tactic to distrcat the attention of said shop assistant whilst the customers mates nicked something?
I think scarlett is the customer...............
No dotty....scarlett is saying that 'she' was the customer.........or that's how I have read it.
jack, I see what you mean!

so Scarlett.. what was your reply?
'Let's say they came up to you as a customer and asked.'

trying to decopher the meaning here, does it mean 'you' the customer. or 'they' the customer? It should be 'they' really,
