Dunno.....but stop shaking your head and the problem will stop

You need Sqad for a technical answer
Sonic boom? How fast are you shaking?

Maybe it's the air passing between your ears! ;-) just kidding!

have you just has a shower or washed your hair ? fluid
Don´t shake your head.

As long as you dont´get the whistling when your head is at rest...........No big deal
I said that!
I rekon it's probably water or other fluid as previously stated. I wouldn't worry too much dotty :)
MrsO...I know....I know! Clever dick ;-)
Obviously, you'll want to get an evaluation by a qualified doctor, but it sonds suspiciously like objective tinnitus. Unlike tinnitus caused by loud sounds and oter hearing damaging events, the objective tainnitus can be "caused by the movement of joints in the jaws, clogged Eustachian tubes in the middle ear, or repetitive muscle contractions. Sometimes, in a quiet room, someone with objective tinnitus might be hearing the pulse of his or her blood in the carotid artery in the neck, the hum of normal flow of blood through the jugular vein, or movement of bones in the neck." (Source: U.S. Department of Health).
I'm not sure dotty has US health, Clanad... I suspect it's just some northern England thing, possibly the wind howling between the Pennines.
