There was a guy at my friends party who I have quite a bit in common with.

But the wierdest thing is that on every ethical and political matter we can think of, we have the same opinions. Have you found anyone that thinks just like you?

Yes, my other half, which is why we have been together for almost 17 years I suppose :)
Yes. Some of my friends and family agree on certain things. Not uncommon. However, agreeing on everything can make for pretty unstimulating conversation.
its nice to have a lot of things in common with friends, molly. yes i do have family and friends who agree with me on some major issues.

No and I wouldnt want to.My close friends are of the same train of thought but we dont always agree which makes the friendship way more fun and interesting. We never have cross words but we can have a joke and poke fun at each other when one comes up with something ludicrous (me usually lol).
As far as my husband is concerned -we are very close and have very much the same sense of humour which binds us but we do have a volatile relationship as we dont often agree on a lot of things. Its a rollercoaster sometimes unpleasant but not dull.
My home life is far from boring helen, even after all these years with my oh and our similar opinions. We are best friends still as well as all the rest of the relationship stuff ;)
We still have some very stimulating conversations too!

Yea, my OH......when I hold the rolling pin
The OH and I agree on 90% of things....the rest makes for great make up stuff...
Sometimes a person has no strong opinion because they never thought about it. They can easily be swayed by someone who has consider the issue.

If he fancies you he may simply be agreeing with you with a view to encouraging intimacy.

He's gay so I don't think he fancies me, although he could be bi . . . . But I definately wasn't swayed by what he said, I already had those opinions.
Perhaps he genuinely likes you and want to be you friend.
Question Author
It will have to be a virtual friendship.

He lives about 25 miles away and goes the college thats about 10 miles away from me, which is where he met my friend that up until this year I was always in the same class as, from year 4 to 11, whose party it was.
Choose your friends wisely, true friends are hard to find,
My brothers. Same personality, humour, music tastes, films/tv shows watched, how we are with women. political views, ethical, easy going.
