I had a septorhinoplasty just over a month ago and had the sitches removed a few weeks ago. But I am sure 1 has been left in just in the corner of my nostril. Should I call the hospital about it?

see your practice nurse
Can you not ask the nurse at your GP`s. I always find it`s easier and quicker to see nurses.
Take it out yourself.........fine scissors and eyebrow forceps.....no big deal.
eyebrow forceps = tweezers, lol
jaydah....thanks ;-)
i had a stitch left in and went to nurse and thought it was removed. Realised it was still in when went home and just gave gentle pull with tweezers and it came away no problem.
joannie....a sensible woman (girl)

People tend to "dash" for medical help for the most trivial of reasons and I often wonder if they would still do so if there was a charge for the service.
Like going to the doctors to pick a scab for you...
ummmm.....exactly.
I believe that some now get reading glasses, dentures, and even wigs on the NHS. Where will it all end?
sandy

<<Where will it all end?<<

By partial privatisation of the NHS..............if any Political persuasion has the guts to do it.
It's only a stitch Sandy. I don't think you have to be qualified to take one out.
Ive always taken out my own stitches, however i don't recommend it on a larger wound, we don't want your insides spilling all over the bathroom floor, makes one hell of a mess!!!
We should go back to the days when it was the Cottage Hospital for the rif-raf and Harley St for the Toffs. That Beveridge and Attlee have a lot to answer for.
sandy....Aneurin Bevan my love.......Bevan.
The dog will clear up the mess, Ratter
It's not like you need a team on standby in case all your innards are going to fall out : )
Just pull it out .. probably less painful than plucking a nostril hair!
