As part of the subliminal messages involved in advising sexual attraction to a potential partner, even minor sexual arousal causes blood to be pumped to the facec and lips, allowing the lips to swell slightly, and the cheeks to blush slightly, both of which send non-verbal signals to the potential partner that their interest is reciprcocated - although the 'sender' is probably unaware that this is happening. Isn't nature wonderful!
