I'm on shift in a couple of hours. When I take my meal break, do you think I should park my ambulance
a) Wherever the hell I want (and there's nothing you can do about it!)
b) In a small car park (and take up 4 spaces)
c) In a bus stop (so the little old ladies have to walk out into the road to get on their bus)
d) Outside someones house (and block off their driveway)
e) Somewhere else

I'm swayed towards a) as i'm an arrse :D

how long do you get for your meal break bob?
c - then you can also drum up some trade at the same time.
e)
just stop at the corner of a busy junction

i had a dream bout you and nm last night!

We get half an hour Mazie, then depending on how busy we are they may move us from wherever we get our grub to another standby point, or a job. It's not uncommon to have meal breaks interupted for jobs either (on that note, can I say a big thanks to the staff at McDonalds in Fareham)
Abuse of authority. How inconsiderate. Glad most emergency services people I've met have had a more responsible attitude.
that's a shame, if it was longer my suggestion would start with b) and work your way through c),d) and e) then you could p!ss everyone off :o)

Narrow high streets are good fluffy. That way, if there is a truck coming the other way, the whole road is totally blocked :) I managed to cause traffic chaos in central Portsmouth on Tuesday by blocking off one side of a main road for a heart attack patient,

PS Why are you dreaming about me, and what was it about? Nothing dirty I hope!!
Go and block the driveway at your local Police station and let us know how a) works out for you ;c)

McMouse, thats not a real abuse of authority. I really abuse authority when I get bored sitting in traffic so I stick my blues on. Or when it's a dull night shift so we pass the time by playing russian roulette with the defib, and toking on the Entonox
the A3 at hindhead, its always busy down there so no-one will notice much if you close the road
i couldn;t possibly say...

well ok you twisted my arm, nothing major you and nm were in a side oart of a very wierd dream which involved safari's elephants and a leopdard sanctuary. the you and nm part was your ********* whichi i was tryign to get back to the uk for

JTP, I wouldn't do that to the Police, they are really useful to have around. They're always really keen to learn about stuff, and make great bag-b1tches ;-)

Now, the fire brigade, thats a different story.......

Bob you're just jealous of the fire department 'cause they can play with the traffic lights and you can't:)

Actually stewey, i'm jealous of Trumpton because they have real beds on their night shifts, whilst I have to stay awake, or try and sleep in the front seat. And they get paid too much money!!
Two of our lovely ambulance people got a severe reprimand.......it was found out that they'd stopped at the chippy for provisions whilst conveying a corpse in the ambulance. I couldn't see a problem but the dead bloke's family were a bit upset.
Trumpton?
Question Author
Class craft pmsl.
Maybe the family were upset because the crew didn't get him any lol
