My son keeps getting headaches and being very, very thirsty.  He has had a test for diabetes which was negative.  The GP has no ideas other than anxiety - my son is 15 and doing his GCSEs this year.  However my son says that he isn't worried about his exams.  Does anyone have experience of these symptoms that we could go back to the GP to suggest?

Personally, I would insist on seeing another GP within the surgery. Good luck.
Does your son drink alcohol??  If he does then maybe he is dehydrated as this causes headaches also.
I'd agree with smudge....you should go for a second opinion.  Good luck.
Or it could be too much salt in his diet?
please please don't be offended by this suggestion, but could your son be using ecstacy?
It sounds like a hangover to me, and it could be related to smoking, drinking, drug-taking or stress.  I don't get stressed but during exams my face breaks out in big red blotches which was a reaction to subdued (didn't feel stressed) stress/worry.  I would get the second opinion as mentioned above.

Maybe he is revising so hard he forgets to drink? If you are dehydrated you get severe headaches.

ask your new GP if it could be diabetes insipidus( not diabetes mellitus)
