Thank you

Thanks for ideas people - will give them a whirl.
Stop going commando ;)
Stop kissing that 'untouchable' dude
It's caused by a (Riboflavin) B12 deficiency, Miss Commando. Used to get it all the time. Flipping sore, isn't it?
Whiskey is right, I suffered badly like that the corner of my eyes, sore nose. My doc sent me for a blood test and yes I was deficiant in Vit B12. I now go to my docs every 3 months for an injection and have had no probs in that area ever since.

Thanks for replies but I don't really suffer with sores round my mouth, this is a one off.
One old fashioned remedy is to lift up a horses tail and kiss its bottom

This won't cure your chapped lips but it WILL stop you licking them
Jem/whiskey- did you have them all the time or were they on and off; reason I ask is because earlier in the year I had very sore patches on each corner of my mouth and was going to go to the doctors but then they cleared up; one has appeared again now and think it might be linked to stress so not sure whether to go or just keep putting cream on?
Every now and again, Sophie, so probably related to that. x
