This earache is sooooo annoying . . . . . .

It's been going on in both ears for a couple of weeks, sinc eI went sailing and felll in the broads. Both ears are bad all of the time but something it jsut feels weird and other times like now, my right ear is really bad.

I went to the doctors and it's really inflammed, he couldn't even get the magnifying glass thigny in my ear enough to see properly, but ti's really red and swollen and the worst earache i've ever had. But because it isn't technically earache, and it's to do with my ear being swollen, it hurts when ever I move it which means; sneezing, eating, drinking, coughing, talking and yawning is painful!

Just swollen redness. I'm pretty sure this is the worst ear infection i've ever had.

It's worse than womens pains; at least with them I can take ibuprofen and I can; eat, drink, sneeze, cough etc without it hurting.
I am cracking up . . . . . . . . .

me and my maths teacher made a right pair. I could barely hear and she'd lost her voice; knowing sign language would have been very useful, but all I can say in sign language is 'hi, I want a biscuit thankyou' . . . . . . .

Feel very sorry for you if you have got really bad earache - my children suffer from glue ear which means everytime they get it their ear drums actually burst which must hurt like hell. You need to take the teenagers equivalent of Calpol until it passes.
molly are you sure you didnt drink the ms wine ? and do you ever answer a question ?
Question Author
Owchies, i can't imagine how painful a burst eardrum is, but does the pain come all at once then go, or does it come in an outburst then ache for a few days?

Question Author
looby, i've actually found that because it's inflammed, putting something cool on it, feels nice.
Hi MK - it hurts for a couple of days and then it actually feels better after the ear drum bursts (as it relieves the pressure) but they usually then get it in the other ear and so it starts again (my eldest son can have this happen 6 - 10 times a year).
