I have two that stick out in my mind..

1) Being on a plane that diverted to Damascus airport because someone said there was a bomb on it, there was a lot of running around and screaming and I was convinced we were all going to die.

2) Staying up all night nursing an automatic rifle because crackheads had broken into my friend's house (in USA).

Going for surgery knowing I might not come back
When I was in the Raf a usaf plane crashlanded at our airfield, pilot had bailed out and plane was out of control on the runway and it was on fire and fully armed. Luckily noone hurt but a change of underwear was required
The first time my lung collapsed was terrifying. I was in excruciating pain in my back, chest and shoulder but had no idea why. Arriving at the hospital with blues and twos to find a full resuscitation team waiting for me did nothing to allay my fears either!

The second one would be when my daughter suffered her first anaphylactic shock and I thought she would die. Luckily the paramedic knew immediately what was wrong with her and administered the correct treatment swiftly.
Being stranded on a small uninhabited island in a storm and not being able to get back until the next morning. Stranded with 3 Thai men and I all I was wearing was a bikini...
The second husband....
That sounds intriguing uumm
1) when 2 attackers got in my bedroom, I then realised mirror had fallen off wall and as I'd woken up it was mine and blokes reflection coming at us. But at least I know I can scream if in danger.

2) thinking I was being followed and about to be attacked whilst walking down a track to train station, Could hear footsteps behind us getting closer when my mate said 'ruuuuuuun' I threw myself in hedge, the blokes ran straight ast and my mate stood there and said 'our trains at the station'
Being followed by a guy, when i was a young woman, could hear my heart beating, and my legs felt like jelly..
It was quite scary Gran...all I kept thinking is no one knew where we were. We'd only gone out snorkeling...
being locked in a flat by a man when I was doing an official visit from work.
being on a plane that hit clear air turbulence and everyone started screaming
scrap my last reply.

whizzing down the M1 in an ambulance with my (now ex) husband, for him to have an emergency MRI scan.
Sara are you a social worker,or work for the council perhaps?
Know that social workers are employed by the council, thought maybe housing...
flying in a mecano plane held together with rubber bands in the Caribbean.....I was the only one sober among 8 crew & passengers.
I work for the DWP.
Having a guy in a hoodie jump out of a hedge next to a park at me when walking home in the dark one night.

Some nutter was trying to get into my flat (happened a few times). Seriously freaked me out.

A guy going crazed and smashing cars up coming after me when I politely turned down his advances (he was on a lot of drugs and at a later time threatened to rape another friend of mine!) and another rather psychotic ex (hence the break up) deciding that he wouldn't accept we had broken up and said he was coming down to get me. He did come down and had friends and a refuge on standby but I decided to face him and it worked out ok in the end.

Oh and staying in a very old manor type house and feeling something push down on my legs in the middle of the night when noone else was anywhere near me. Kept the lights on for the rest of the night!

My Grannie's house (17th century) was pretty spooky - I haven't stayed there for years now, she told me there was a ghost there called Archibald McFee who used to live at the bottom end of her bizarrely triangular kitchen.
(now I'm going off to look for it in Google Earth!)
