ohh i don't know, possibly just nerves! your body is all out of sorts after giving birth. try asking someone at www.babycentre.co.uk there are message boards for women due in certain months, if you find the march 2002 board u can talk to other mums like you! i'm due in august and i have met loads of mums2be there and get lots of questions answered about baby stuff!
The probability is high that this is stress related, but you should visit your gp for a checkup.
oh i forgot to say! one of the most in valuable phone numbers a mum can have is 0845 46 47 !!! this is NHS direct! they are brilliant and are used to over anxious mums ringing up! they are not just for urgent things, for example they can advise on how to complain about your GP or about side effects of drugs but they also can get a GP sent out to you out of hours also! i know this number of by heart and they are really nice nurses there to speak to 24/7 !!
Are you on any medication like ventolin? It sounds like a side effect of certain drugs.
Please if you have not already, have your doctor do a chest exam and request an echocardiogram (not sure what if it is called the same thing in the UK). It basically checks your heart function. I had the same symptoms after the birth of my son and when he was 6 mos. old they identified that I was one of a group of women that get a heart condition called post partum cardiomyopathy, due to having a child. None of my doctors thought of this possibility because it doesn't happen often. My internist thought I was stressed and gave me an asthma inhaler. Your symptoms sound like many of us that have it. the bathroom need could be because you are retaining too many fluids. Go to your doctor and ask about this. There is also information on a website called ppcmsupport.net (I think is the site) Hope this isn't what you have, I have had a 4 year journey back to good health and would never wish this on anyone. If you do please see the site there are other women out there to talk to about their experience. I would be happy to help with any assistance you need.
