It has been lovely with all the warm/hot weather but today I want it to be cooler, dry but cooler.
You see I've got this huge pile of ironing to do, its been getting bigger by the day and now as I walk in the room it almost shouts at me. My hubby is moaning he's running out of T shirts. YES i know you'll be saying "tell 'im to iron his own" but he's left handed and to watch him try to iron is painful.
Soo I'd like a cooler day please.

Any one else want it cooler so can get jobs done?

I'm going to be stripping the beds in a minute, another Pheewww!!
jem job.

Shift your clock slightly if you can to do the jobs early in the day before it gets too warm... let him strip and change the beds then..
Think you might be out of luck with the 'dry' request today. I think Mr Job is having you on. All he has to do is stand at the other side of the ironing board (or turn it round - whichevers easier).
It is cooler here. But I like it cool also. I rained all night last night, it was so heavy I thought we may need an ark.
*warm*??

It hasn't been warm for quite a few days now....just muggy and damp
Give me sunny and dry any day.
Yesterday it was stifling here... Ridiculously hot.
Im glad I did all mine yesterday. Hubby ironed it all last night as I have tennis elbow at the moment and must rest my arm. I know what you mean about watching hubby ironing being painful. I was terrified he was going to burn something including his arm. Hes so caggy handed. Still it was thoughtful of him. I always have to have the backdoor open when I iron even in winter.
Ironing, what's that? As for ironing T shirts........... well I just don't. If something needs ironing I iron it before I (or he) wears it. I am careful with washing and fold and flatten and often use the tumbler to take out the creases after the washing is dry.

Life is too short to Iron!!
I am with Lottie. The only time I iron is if I need to go to a meeting/interview and have to wear smart clothes. Otherwise it just gets hung up after its dry.

I Whole-heartidly agree with you Lottie, and I don't like ironing (hence the big pile i've got) but I suppose I'm a bit old fashioned, I can't hang up unironed clothes it would nag at me.and I do like to see a nice ironed shirt & T shirt. Yes i'm my own worst enemy. I don't do underwear, T towels, towels, Bed stuff soo i'm not a complete ironing nut. (my neighbour even irons socks)

Right I'm armed with the Vapouress, spray starch, the iron & a towel to wipe my brow & I may see you my friends tonight. Have a Good Day.

I tend to do the ironing more regularly so it doesnt become a great big pile, it makes it easier and less horrific to look at, I iron 2/3 times a week, I find it relaxing ;)
Morning Jem - I did 3 hours yesterday with fan blowing in my face and new cd (Gatecrashers Anthems) blaring out. I think it may be cooler today for you.
Early sunday morning in the conservatory windows open listening to the morning chorus....pot of tea....rose scented linen water

Jemisa.......that's an age old man trick.........man purposefully struggles and irons something really badly and woman never asks you to iron ever again!
The cleaner is doing my ironing tomorrow.

I know what you mean joluke & I agree, but when you watch a cack-handed person like him iron, - one has just got to say "For gawds sake give it 'ere"
