My dentist says I have a strange twist to the root of a back tooth. Could that be the cause of facial pain, in the area of eye socket and temple?

Did you ask the dentist if it could affect that region of your face, lyn? x
Yes.
I would say Yes as well. My wisdom teeth are still coming through and the main pain is in my cheekbone and eye socket.
I had root canal work done on a back tooth a few years ago and i remember the pain was awful around that area of my face, before my dentist sorted it out, so i'd say yes too.

Yogi - no, my dentist is always in a rush, yet she knows I have facial pain from previous visits. I had hoped she would have raised the topic herself. However, having thought it over, I have written to her asking the question.
Your dentist is always in a rush....sod that for a packet of peanuts!......i would change dentists, if you're not completely satisfied......no matter how busy my dentist is, she ALWAYS has time to explain thoroughly what need to be done and how she'll go about it and takes x-rays etc, if need treatment.........touchwood, nothing needed fior quite a while now....just a polish/clean which she usually does and does'nt even ask the hygienist to do it.
