Bangs are the american way of saying fringes!

The group The Bangles were originally called The Bangs, as they all had 60s fringes!

I live around there, and well bangs here, are the hair that is cut short around the forehead area... and the hair kinda is slightly above the eye browl...here are some examples on bangs in america...go to this link
