So was I
we have all been here before.....
i was lady godiva
Poor you Mccfluff. Apparently she was as ugly as sin, skinny as a rake so had nothing worth looking at, and had long hair to protect the rest of us from seeing what a dog she was. Has anything changed during the intervening centuries?

woofgang , so you do believe then?

I am interested in dying peoples last thoughts too, I had a friend who died at a very young age (35) he said goodbye to his 3 children and asked his wife to take the children out of the room. When she returned he said to her 'i am very tired now it's time to go' and subsequently died within minutes. He had been suffering with cancer.
Question Author
I can see I am wasting my time here.
Is that your dying thread thought?
Serious answer Dave - I've known, and heard many relatives said that bit about 'it's time to go'. When that time approaches, I think dying people do know they are about to go to the other side.

Thank you Society for the first serious answer, if people have no interested in the subject why do they bother to post at all?
well i still have long hair, def not ugly and skinny as a rake anymore!
What makes you think that Dave ? I sometimes say sentences in a northern way like "did you not see that?" instead of "did you see that?" even though I'm a London cockney !
Dave I forgot to say in my previous post I read this a while back, I believe. Ron.
when my granny in law died, I was with her and she was sleeping. She woke up and asked after all the family, how they were and where they were. It was a lovely day. she said to me "that's all right then I am tired go for a walk in the sunshine" I kissed her goodbye and left and according to the nurses, she fell asleep and never woke up. I am sure that she had decided to go once she knew all the family were okay.
I absolutley without a doubt 100% believe that this is not our first go round here. When my daughter was about 3 or 4, we were driving home and she all of a sudden told me she was glad she had chosen me as a moma, and last time we were here she had been my mom. I had believed before that, but that solidified my belief!!! Also, have you seen the movie "City of Angels"? I'm almost certain that the reason people know its their time is because there is an angel, or several with them, letting them know it will be o.k. My friend who just died of cancer asked several times who was standing behind her husband, and he swore he was the only one there. I don't care what anybody says, that was not the medicine, it was an angel! But this is my opinion, and my belief, and take it for what you will. Just happy to see a GOOD question in here!
Hi mysti, how nice to meet someone with the same beliefs as myself, when my darling wife passed away 2 years ago she asked the same question as your friend ' Who is the young man standing by the bedroom window' there were no doubts in my mind that he was the escort sent to guide her into her next life. You may be interested to here this true story:- A few years ago we were coach holidaying in Ireland & we were travelling down the west coast, we stopped at The Cliffs of Moher & our courier told us that this was only a comfort stop to visit the loo as we would be stopping for lunch at the next little town about an hour later. I went to the gent's with another male passenger (both of us elderly) & as we were standing there we noticed a young woman standing in the doorway & as we were the only 2 in there at that time we thought it was rather odd. We then carried on with the journey, & as stated arrived at the next pretty little town where we had lunch, when we all assembled on the coach to move off, we couldn't go because there was 1 passenger missing---- guess who it was, it was the gent I had been standing next to, after a search around the area they found the guy had died in the lavatory. This hit me like a brick & to this day I am convinced that the young woman previously mentioned was waiting for him( but for some reason in the wrong toilet block, & then collected him from the next one ). What do you make of that ? Ron.
mystichippyjewel - you really ought to see Wings of Desire http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093191/ the original version of that film you mention because it is far better.
Hi Ron, I do believe you are right about the young lady. However to answer your question about why she was in an adjacent stall, angels do have respect for us and our privacy. Also, Ireland is reknowned for sightings like this. I want to go there so badly!! I'm from the U.S. and all the young souls here just sometimes don't get the whole concept that we are talking about. It is really nice to be able to discuss these things with someone who shares the same beliefs!! I would also like to know what prompted dave to ask this question?
