Does she fancy him?

A girl who works with my boyfriend sent him a text message at 2:30 in the morning, on a friday, asking what her hours were the next day! I found this a bit strange and questioned her feelings towards him but my boyfriend dismissed it and just thinks she innocently wanted to know her hours! She is 16 and my boyfriend is 23. Being someone who used to fancy an older guy and used to use the same 'What time am I in tomorrow' tactics I can see there is more to the situation but my boyfriend won't believe me. I just can't see why you would text someone you don't know that well at that time in the morning, especially if they are your boss. Does anyone else have a any views on this?! Many thanks.

It's odd, kazzee, but don't take it too seriously. It could be that the girl has taken a shine to your boyfriend, but it doesn't mean that it's reciprocated! It probably isn't. (I'm saying all this on the assumption that it's OK for her to have your boyfriend's mobile number, which she obviously has.)

personally i'd have to know the people involved, but i think your missing the point there are such things as friends and people dont automatically have to want to get with people they text or like. also i have texted many a work buddy to check what time i am in the next day, and believe you me do not look at any of them in that way....urgh...of the kids!

Nah, I think she was probably out on the tiles, a bit drunk (on  Fri night) and really didn't know her hours!! I have texted people before, not realising how late it is, and hoped that most people would switch their mobiles off at night! He GOT the text at 2.30am- she was probably just panicking at 2.30am, as she didn't know her hours. Don't worry about it. If she fancied him she would have been far more flirtacious!

Thing is she wasn't out drunk and he asked her the next day why she text him so late and she just said she thought he'd be awake!!!!!

She is 16- she probably had no conception of the fact that he was asleep in bed with you, or anything else!!

Put it out of your mind, and don't worry unless anything else happens. And then tell us !

some bird used to txt my bf at 3 in the morning when he had finished work, i mean loads of txts, turns out she is slightly obsessed with him, i was not happy- until he told me she lived miles away, had 5 kids and a bloke but thought she still had a chance even though we had just moved in together!

it may have been innocent to your bf, but men can be stupid and not realise the hidden undertones of what they percieve as innocent!

is there any way they could be sleeping together?

I think it's completely innocent.  I text people at work about my hours all the time, I work in a bar and so there's normally someone awake in the wee hours who can let me know  Although i don't suppose they know the rota by heart or take it home with them.

Just leave it be if this is the only thing that is making you suspicious.  Maybe she does fancy him but if he doesn't feel the same way then it doesn't matter.  A few  of my friends younger sisters fancy my boyfriend and I'm not threatened at all, I find it really amusing!

Thanks you lot. My boyfriend doesn't believe me that there could be something more in it for HER. I know they aren't sleeping together but it just bugs me that he isn't bothered about this as much. If a guy text me at that time in the morning I know he would wonder if there was more to it. I told him that men don't notice as much when

when a female pays interest in them. But being that this is how I used to get him chatting in the early hours b4 we got together I guess I have a different view on it. Thanks again. (Don't know what happened there.. with all my answers.. ooops)

Hi im kazze69's bf and I can tell you all now that havent done anything to make kaz think I would be cheating on her. I'm very sorry that the girl at work text me and did say to her that it was an unreasonable time to texting some one, and she appologised and she hasn't text me since then (at any time).

Unless this happens alot, and she asks questions that arent job related i wouldnt worry too much about this girl, and if you trust your boyfriend then u definitely shouldnt worry about a simple text message. Dont let it doubt the stability of your relationship, as its always doubts and misunderstandings than can lead to fights and break ups.
