when i was younger, i used to get bleeding noses all the time..
now, on my last two periods, and it's only when i have my period i get a rapid nose bleed!! like, blood is literally poruing out of my nose. it lasted 20 minutes this morning and i was late for school haha. anyway, so i try to look up and pinch my nose to stop it, but the blood just goes back down my throat and i can tatse it! note, it's only when im on my period and only happens once during the period.
very weird, what is it!!!?

Nose bleeds are common in women during fluctuations in oestrogen levels e.g periods and pregnancy.

When bleeding occurs, nip the nostrils and lean forwards....not backwards.

If they become persistent or troublesome, then ask your GP for an ENT referral and if there is a prominent and troublesome blood vessel which is the culprit, it can be easily cauterised.
Hi,
When you check with your GP, ask about telengiectasia. These can cause troublesome nosebleeds.
Instead of caurterising Sqad, my GP now gives a nasal spray to stop this trouble. Things may have changed since you retired `old` buddy. lol.
