The winter vomitting bug shouldn't last for this long. I'd suggest that you contact your surgery as they will have an out of hours procedure. They should give you advice but may not see you today. It would at least put your mind at rest or tell you if you should be seen by a doctor today.
phone NHS Direct, 0845 46 47 - they are there all the time and can advise you what might be the matter, and what to do...
Sounds as though you have been hit by 2 viruses, one after the other, the first probably a Norovirus and now a respiratory virus.

Keep warm, drink plenty and Ibuprofen 600mgms 6hourly.

See what you are like in the morning.

Thanks all -I have just surfaced. The vomitting has stopped but still nauseus and still coughing a lot.
I have kept myself warm and taken Ibuprofen but I am going down to my GP tomorrow as I think theres only so much to do to help yourself (not a lover of having to concede and seek help)
Think I have had 2 seperate viruseses back to back when my immune system was low.I'll let you know and again thanks for taking the time with your helpful advice..

Been to the Docs.I have a chest infection so am now on 500mg x 3 a day amocycillin. That should zap everything -he thinks I have been worn down since the Norovirus and been left open to the Cold,Laryngitis and now Chest Infection.I'll soon be on the mend -at last !!
Glad to hear that Dris, take good care and get better soon.

I now just have a voice like ive smoked 40fags a day for the last well 40yrs.Good/bad news is that H has it and its really bad -I mean really really bad -much worse than anything he's ever had *rolls eyes :)
Oh, well these bugs spread so easily! hope he's feeling better soon! Maybe a visit to the GP sooner rather than later then.............................
Question Author
o no -he would rather suffer to make me suffer lol!!!!
In fairness he doesnt have a GP where he works so ive advised him to go into a walk in centre -not sure how that works either if youre not registered in England hmm??
I think he can go to any surgery and they will see him as 'a visitor' in the first instance, and then he can register later, and have the usual health checks, it shouldn't be a problem...................tell him to ring the local practice in the morning/or as with 'men' you ring them!..................It's a man thing sadly! I have on of those too!...............
Question Author
Thanks hun-I shall tell him as soon as I can get him out his TV induced slumber.I know he's wrapped himself up to sweat it out but he should be in bed.Youve been really helpful TY very much xx
No probs dris, they will see him, they can't refuse, Hope you're both feeling well soon!..................
Dris, A 90y, smoking, lady doctor advised when out in cold weather always breathe in thru nose - so cold air doesn't infect the chest......good advice that got me smoking again - I wouldn't mind being 90 ;)
