If it's inside it's not going to go flat overnight, is it? You shouldn't need to.

oh right, is it because it's warm in the house? I am hoping in the morning when i put it back in that the car starts first time. Also, is the reason the central locking doesn't work because I've taken the battery out? i thought the battery for that was in the key.
Hi Dot,

There is a battery in the key, all that does is tell the door to lock/unlock, the car battery then powers the locking or unlocking.
Dot. Don't forget, you will also need to re-code your car radio after you replace the battery.

I don't think it has a code, halfords fitted it and i don't remember ever needing a code though. If I need it though I'll post a request for it on here lol
Leave it on charge as long as possible. It can't do any harm.

cheers PB, i've left it charging for over an hour now but the charger instructions say that it has an automatic turn off after so long if the battery is 199% charged, which sounds terribly reliablke and efficient and takes all the thinking away lol
You have a good battery there if its 199% charged.
Hi Dot, did you have a busy Xmas working? to your battery, is it the type that you can top up with Distilled water? by removing the caps on top of the battery there should be 6, if its that type make sure the water is just above the lead plate as you look inside the battery, or is it a sealed unit? if sealed you can get it checked by any auto Elec garage as a norm when these start giving out trouble it's time to renew.
