I've been having dreams for years, every night and several in the night; I just put it down to the (pre)menopause... just like I put everything down to that now.

Could be you are eating just before going to bed. Certain foods can trigger dreams like that. Cheese for one.

Last night, I dreamt that my cat Milly was laying fully stretched out on the landing - dead! She had a couple of bare fur marks on her legs, along with blood.

It was such a realisitc dream, that I had tears in my eyes when she greeted me this morning, bless her.
