Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease, caught from an infected person. There are around 20,000 new cases each year, It is not curable, but early treatment can prevent subsequent attacks. In fact, between 12 and 20% of people affected don't have a second attack.

Herpes are extremely easy to catch. If you have cold sores on your mouth and go down on some one than you can give them Genital Herpes. Or if you sleep with someone you can get Genital herpes if the other person has them. Even if they are not experiencing any symptoms.
