I was sad to learn of John Hughes death at the age of 59. He was a fantastic writer/director and I loved his films.
People of a 'certain age' :P may have a favourite film of his, mine are Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buellers day off, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Home Alone, Weird Science and Some kind of Wonderful.

Anyone else like his films?

OMG Haysi, this is the first I've heard of John Hughes's death. I loved his films when I was a teenager. The Breakfast Club was my favourite.

Well I wouldn't know about the sore wrist bit but things are pretty hectic for me too at the moment. I always seem to be covering for people who are off sick or on leave at the moment. I need a break.

Nice! Hope you have a lovely time Haysi xxx
who the hell is john hughes, a used car salesman on my patch, sacked in march for sleeping on the job.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off, it has to be for me. I didn't know he'd passed on either Tigger. Even though you do sound more busy than me.

haysi06 yeah, I remember those years very well but didn't realise he was behind so many of them.

Misspent youth ....never.
Hi haysi.Well, I'm sorry to be ignorant but I really didn't know that John Hughes died at the early age of 59.Not that old really is it!!
What a shame eh! I've seen quite a few films of his,and to pick out a favourite of mine is difficult. However, although Home Alone is pretty good,I think my firm favourite has to be The Breakfast Club.Oh yes,the young actors in this, being Emilio Estevez,Paul Gleason, and Anthony Michael Hall acted so superbly.A classic film of the 80's.A 1985 film I believe.
I've seen it a couple of times now,and I never seem to tire of it.
The 'Don't You' song at the end credits is excellent as well,by Simple Minds.Great film!!
^_^
Evening haysi honey xx
I've got to agree with KIDD72, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', excellent 80's trash film:)

Cameron: "The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion.
Ferris: "It is his fault he didn't lock the garage..."
