I haven't, but my mother-in-law goes to the chinese herbalist quite often, and it works quite well for most of her health issues.  In fact, she was starting to have some macular degeneration (eyesight problem due to aging) and the chinese herbs completely reversed it.  Her doctor couldn't believe it, and to cover up, he denied he'd ever made the diagnosis (even though it was in her chart).

There are quite a few people on AB with IBS - hopefully someone will be able to give you more specific advice.  IBS can be quite successfully treated with herbs (depending on its severity).

Just wish all the NHS funds could go to these people, they are very good! My mum swears by them.

I had some serious stomach problems, bloating, and many other symptoms, Doctors said I just needed more fiber, and I went to a chinese herbalist, and she was so GREAT, within a week, my symptoms were better, and she was relatively inexpensive, look around before spending lots of money, the treatment usually around $25 and the tea for a week another $30 . That is less than a doctor, good luck,
