Of course, who can forget the Spanish Inquisition. They told everybody that there were witches about and even had plenty of witch trials.

Many people (after having red hot pokers stuck up their jacksies) admitted to being witches.

Still, amazing what you can do when you can create a climate of feare.

Lots of right wing people saying "you don't understand - there is a real threat" forgetting that in this 'educated' world we like to prove things (without resorting to torture).

If you stick a red hot poker up some ones backside and tell them that you will only remove it when they confess that they are a witch / Muslim extremist , amazingly lots of people will confess.

What's the alternative? Obama thought he could unload them onto other countries but nobody wants them. He could let them loose in the USA but just think of the backlash. Personally I think he should send them all back to the countries of origin, maybe Saudi Arabia, Iraq or Afghanistan or even Pakistan and let the governments sort it out there.
