It depends on the level of acne. If it's just mild, I suggest using Ketsugo products. You can get it from superdrug or try www.qvcuk.com and search for ketsugo. You might want to try Decleor Prolagene gel to clear up any old scaring you might have. I swear by that stuff.

If it's quite bad you might want to go to your doctor, they'd be able to suggest better ways of dealing with it.

Hey thanks Soosh, I've been using Ketsugo for a couple of weeks now (the spray version) - it's decresed oil production, but i'm still having the breakouts!!

If you're a teenager it could well be a natural thing, but the main way to help it in any case is to cut out greasy foods/ junk food and most importantly drink alot of water.

A facial cream every morning and evening will help too. It can take a while to clear up, but when it does it should really limit any spots, even for teenagers.

No worries. :) That's great, maybe try using...(I'll get the link)

Maybe using that and the spray it'll decrease the amount of break-outs you're having. The tea tree stuff works so well for acne prone skin (it's a great natural antiseptic).

I suffered with mild adult acne a while back so I started using that Ketsugo clensing gel, Liz Earle cleanse and polish and quite a few Decleor oils/ masks/ creams regularly and my skin is fine now. I get the odd spot at certain times of the month, but doesn't everyone. ;D

I think the trick is to find a clensing routine that doesn't irritate, doesn't dry it out (because that just encourages your skin to produce even more oil), doesn't overwhelm it and just generally works in harmony with your skin. I can suggest a few more things that might help, but these are things that worked for me they might not work for everyone. It's trial and error with these things. Let me know if you need any more info. :)

Thanks Soosh!! You've been very helpful. I'm going to continue with Ketsugo for another 2 weeks as most of the reviews I have read say it takes some time to kick in. I tried pure tea tree oil (abit harsh I know) for ages, but I was wasting my time.

Yeah my skin didn't clear up just using the tea tree oil on it's own (I used it neat too ;D). Good plan, sometimes it takes time to work. I know it did for me.

I hope it works for you hun, I know how it feels to have acne, it's not a good thing. *hugs*

Wash your face regularly and keep greasy chemical away from your skin.
take up smoking. A pack of fags a day will do wonders for your skin.
The best thing I found which dries up spots OVER NIGHT is Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion. It costs about 15-20 a bottle but it has worked for me EVERY TIME and I'm not kidding. Look for it on Ebay or on the net elsewhere.
Every fruit goes excellently in adding shine to your skin. It offers you the glowing and clear skin. Pineapple puree is one such ingredient which is giving top results in clearing all acne marks from your skin. Take some fresh puree of pineapple fruit and apply it all over the face as mask. After it becomes dry, make sure that you rinse off with cold water.
Rosewater is showing good results for skin care treatments from the ancient days. It holds beautiful fragrance and refreshes your skin in all ways when applied. To come out of pimples or acne, add few drops of lemon juice to 2 tsp of rosewater and apply it evenly on the acne affected. While lemon juice acts as best astringent, rosewater will be working as a calmative which repairs your skin from inside.
