Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the smell of sick. I have scrubbed the carpet a few times using different products including Dettox but the room still smells very strongly.

You can get these little ionizers (i think?) which neatralise all smells. They don't emit a smell, just deal with the present ones. You can get them in supermarkets...

Here we are http://www.tesco.com/superstore/xpi/4/xpi50670374.htm

Neutradol!

A product I swear by is Odour Free made by Alstoe which can be obtained from most pet stores and vets.  It's amazing stuff and better than all the things you can get from supermarkets, etc, such as Febreze.  It is used by vets to clean soiled areas.  It's a biological spray thatI again works through neutralising odours.  I just spray the soiled area with plain water, dab off the excess with kitchen roll and then spray with Odour Free and leave to dry naturally.  It also removes stains.  You can also buy the same stuff called Simple Solution Stain and Odor Remover.  It's exactly the same, but cheaper.  However, it's not so easy to find.

The morning after the night before eh!  The all to familiar sunday cleanup after 1 too many last night, id go with Fakeplastic's answer

Have you tried  ' Fabreze '  (anti bacterial).  Works wonders on unwanted pet odours and the like. Give it a try.
