Dawn is doing it's best but the clouds are getting in the way. I hope it brightens up, we are at the Heritage Centre all afternoon. We'll have lunch in the stables cafe first.

We've actually had some rain in the last few days, but today the wind's doing it's best to dry it all out.....nothing changes!!

Hello seekeerz, long time no see! We always enjoy being by, or on, the canal, it's so tranquil and relaxing. On duty today though. rain!! that's good news, te wind will always blow at the wrong time. Is it any cooler yet?

Missed a bit. Yes we are both well thanks, Mrs. W had an angiogram a short while ago, the results were good, nothing wrong with her heart and her arteries are clear.

Very glad to hear Mrs W's tests were ok, hope it continues that way.

I envy you, being near a canal - water of any kind is so relaxing.

Yes, we're into Autumn now, still a few days over 30 but nothing too savage, with cool breaks in between - all we need now is a decent opening with the rain and all the farmers will be out plowing.

Loks like you can think about relaxing a bit now. You've had enough trauma to last a lifetime recently.

We are volunteers for Cotswold Canals Trust, in the process of restoring the canal between Saul (near Gloucester) and Lechlade on the river Thames. about 26 miles altogether. I am the boat charter manager at Saul. We do lunch charters and things. Great fun!

I am at work all day today so the best I can hope for is that we get to have lunch outside

I was drawn away by the coffee machine, LOL.

I didn't get a chance to bet yesterday. I had good days on Mon + Tues, so I paid my winnings to Comic Relief.

I must do the rugby and football bets today. Who are Ireland playing? (I've not been for my paper yet).

Brighton have got Yeovil, at home. We NEED 3 points sooo badly. Thing2 and I might go to watch, and shout at The Seagulls, and make them score lots of goals.

JJ.Morning. Ireland play Scotland, but don't bother about that match.
England play France tomorrow and if England don't beat them then I will NEVER watch RU again.
The standard of all teams this year has been the worst.

It is always good on the canal JJ. Ireland are away to Scotland, second game of the day and we will be home in time for that, I'll change my green CCT shirt for my green Ireland shirt, open a can or six of the Liffy water and hurl abuse at the ref!

water.......as I said. Ireland and Scotland are two poor teams. The Southern Hemisphere boys must be laughing their socks off.

I am English, but always have had a soft spot for the Irish.

Ireland should win by 25 points.

Tell you what squad. For a poor team Ireland are the only ones with a chance of the grand slam, the game against Wales next week will be a cracker!
