I have just posted in the good morning thread to someone else, saying I have never been in a Starbucks, and that I wouldn't know what to order.
Is there anyone else here never been in a Starbucks?

but more importantly, for future reference,..................what do you ask for?

I've never been in one. I've been in similar but I really do begrudge paying their prices.
I've been in one once. It's a coffee place isn't it? But then if it is I don't know what I was doing there cus I hate coffee
I don't go in there by choice, as I don't like coffee but if I'm in with the wife, I usually get a strawberry and cream frappachino I think it's called.

I know its a coffee place angel, I often walk past the one here in town. But having never been in there, I wouldn't know what to do or ask for.

is it very dear then ummmm?
Agree with ummm, on principle I would not pay their extortionate prices, so have never been in one.
Not one near us thank goodness, hate these big companies spreading there corporate tentacles everywhere!!!

So can anyone tell me then, how much are we talking about for a coffee in Starbucks?
No never been in one.

Starbucks??? Is it a massage parlour in Teneriffe?
To be fair to Starbucks, all their stuff is ethically sourced and comes under the fairtrade banner. They are very good with their staff and treat them as partners, not employees. They also collect money for wounded war heros.
I know they're expensive, but it's my occasional little treat to myself.
Sorry, Susan, I pay around 2 something for a medium latte which is quite bit.
oops I meant 'quite big'
When you said you wouldn't know what to order I thought you meant you didn't know it was a coffee place. Can't you just go in and look at the board, they will have all the usual coffee variations I expect like cappucino, espresso, etc.
Question Author
LOL, I must be getting old then, I begrudged paying over 1.20 for coffee in a cafe last summer.
Do I sound like a miser?
:-)
Question Author
yes angel, I could look at the board I suppose. But they didn't have these sort of places when I was young, and it's all so confusing.
How do I know what is what and what do they taste like?
Susan, you can't live and die and never try it. Thing is, if you don't like it, you never have to have it again. The medium lattes are substantial and they have a lovely layer of foam on the top that you just don't get in regular cafes.
Question Author
NoMercy is right I suppose.
I will just have to pluck up the courage and go in there and have what?.........medium latte.
At least I can say I have been there, done that, ......do they sell T-shirts?
Yes I know what you mean Susan - I don't know the difference between latte, espresso, mocha, cappucino, frappacino. Not a clue but then I don't drink coffee or perhaps I would like coffee if I tried one of these variations lol
Question Author
Angel, earlier in my thread ^^^^^up there somewhere, someone mentioned a strawberry and cream frappachino..............now that sounds really scrummy!!

:-)
MMm it does sound yummy. Is it strawberry and cream coffee then?
Can someone explain all the different things like latte, cappucino, frappacino and how they are different from each other
