I have had my eyes tested today near where I work as I want new glasses, my contact lens prescription is -3.25 in both eyes (with another optician) I told the optician this and at the end of the consultation he said -hardly any change-. When I have just looked at the prescription it says right eye SPHERE -3.00 left eye SPHERE -3.25, right and left CYL -0.50? So it has changed then?? I am confused.

Yes it has changed from -3.25 to -3.00. What are you confused about?

Yes I can see it has changed from -3.25 to -3.00 but the optician said hardly any change, so ... do I get the glasses the same prescription as my contact lenses OR the prescription he just gave me ???????
You get glasses that match your newest prescription. If your eyes have changed, your glasses also need changing.
thats coz 0.25 is hardly any change, change your glasses
With all due respect, isn't it patently obvious that if you have a new eye prescription, you get glasses that match this new prescription?

or is that just me....
Maybe the optician should have said that there IS a change, but NOT really enough to worry about. Why did you not clarify this at the time of the consultation ?
