X3 problems

I have recently got an X3 but I have a few minor probs with it.
When I start driving the car and try to warm it up, there is a very direct jet of cold air directed around my knees. It seems to come from the gap where the steering wheel is adjustable. The garage is less than helpful in suggesting a solution so I wondered if anyone on here had a similar problem and (hopefully) a solution.

Also, he rear window squirter has detached twice, the first time leaking into the boot and the second time leaking into the spoiler and running down the outside of the car. The garage has told me that this happens when the squirter is used when the water is frozen. I didn't have the car when it happened the first time (it was detached when I got the car) but I certainly haven't tried to use the squirter when the weather has been cold for it to have happened the second time.
Lastly, when I open the back doors, water falls onto the back seats from the top of the door frame. Again the garage suggest that it is probably due to there being rain sitting on top of the car but good grief that can't be true surely. I have had a lot of cars and the back seats have always managed to remain dry! I wondered if it might have something to do with the water from the back squirter leaking into the car somewhere?

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Check the Steering Gaiter, it may be split, rear Squirter if the pipe & water was frozen in the Pipes/ jets every chance it may have blown a hole in the Feed pipes to the jets Re/ water coming into the rear, Has the car had a rear screen fitted? If so, not sealing.
let me guess shivvy..you're dealing with charles hurst ltd aren't you??? lol!

Thanks TWR. The garage have now fixed the back squirter and the heating seem to be better however the water dropping into the back seat is still an annoyance. Maybe this is a design fault with X3s?
Does anyone know of a BMW site where I could ask whether other owners have similar problems?

gonzo00 - Its Bavarian not Charles Hurst but you gave me a good laugh!!
