i know it sounds stupid and nieave, but can you still get some kind period if pregnant

yes the fluid is often green, as opposed to red to indicate preganancy

you can get something called spotting or implantation bleeding, you can get what seem like full periods, or perhaps cervical erosion bleeding.

generally though, the periods would stop for duration of pregnancy.
Some people still get bleeds throughout their pregancy, although if you are pregnant and bleeding you should contact your midwife to make sure everything is ok x
One of my sisters had 'period like' bleeds through the whole of two of her pregnancies.Both babies were born healthy and at due date.
One of my friends bled on & off throughout the first six months of her first pregnancy. Her daughter was born prefectly healthy & has gone on to have three daughters of her own.
