Try BBC radio lancashire web site, they can point you in the right direction, or go to a local careers advisor who can put your choices in order.
I presume you're trying for a job in the media? Be prepared to take on unpaid work experience at first, as you can't really get anything without experience. Try North West Tonight or Inside Story, something like that. The BBC website lists all experience opportunities, but also just ring the office and find out if you could come in for a few days. Be persistent! That said, I eventually moved down to London in my quest for a job in the media, and am still looking... Hope you have better luck!
Work experience is pretty much the only way into a place you actually want to be.. Try the Guardian online too- you can change preferences so they will email you any remotely suitable jobs. the BBC do this too. I think it's best to think what you would most love to do, and approach them directly, rather than wait for something in the right vein to be advertised. Good luck!
