A boy from work asked me out yesterday. He is really good looking and all the girls like him but he has a bit of a reputation of sleeping around. I havent had a bf for 3 years. What should I tell him?

Question Author
I do but I dont want to get used thats all.
If you want to go out with him say yes if not not say no.
If you like him then go out with him. If you don't like him then say no. He may well have a reputation for sleeping around, but that doesn't mean you have to sleep with him does it!! Reputations are not always based on fact anyway.
Open the conversation with "I haven't had a bf for 3yrs"
But be aware, he may give you a "Glasgow bf"
In that case tell him you want to take things slow. If he doesn't want that then that's his loss...
Be careful you may end up being very embarrassed if anything happens and he can't keep his mouth shut. Not nice having to face that in work every day.
If you like him go for it, but have your guard up and be wary of him.
Don't let him pressure you for sex or be controlling.

Give a timescale of perhaps atleast a month before sleep with him-depending how well you get on.
If he's still around after timescale then you know he likes you, and hopefully you can build a relationship.
If you feel that he's just after one thing then dont bother.

Just think though some people can get a bit of a reputation, but sometimes a special someone comes along that they really care about and they give that all up, that might be you, or you could just beanother conquest, only you can decide thow.
sqad - whats a Glasgow bf?
If you want to go out with him then go. You don't have to do anything you don't want to. Just see it as a bit of fun for now and see how it goes. Its only a date. You're looking too far ahead.
so what did you say to him yesterday?
joannie, just me being funny...or trying to be. Glasgow kiss is a but or biff on the head, just a bit of fun of her spelling of bit (bf) in her question.

am glaswegian so know what a glasgow kiss is but thought I was missing something with glasgow bf, sorry sense of humour switched off.

back to the question though - if you like him go out with him, if you are worried about being used then dont allow yourself to be. If you get to know him a bit better and think he is likely to 'use' you is he really the kinda guy you want to be with. Maybe you could use him a bit? Don't listen to idol office gossip. Make your own mind up.
sqad bf is abbreviation of boyfriend
LOL LOL LOL I thought it meant that she hadn't had a BIT for 3yrs LOL LOL. Sorry.

This is what I suggest if your want to go out with him:

Never have a sexual relationship until at least 3 months have passed and he see's you most nights, If you meet up only once or twice a week then he might be getting it elsewhere. You should be able to tell what he is like if you accept a date and take things slowly.
