Was just off to bed and thought I would just check my emails, thanks for asking, not good news I'm afraid, They've told me that the radiotherapy hasn't done much good and that now they've found from the scan that I've got a brain tumour (oh sh1t I thought) anyway I've got to go back next Monday and they're going to start me on chemotherapy because the cancer has spread to other places and the chemo will treat the whole body where as radiotherapy only targets one area, I've told them I don't want to go into too much detail because I still want to think positive. Anyway that's my day not good but I'll survive!! Thanks for all your thoughts it really means something to know that people that I don't really know take the trouble to ask how I am. I'll keep in touch.
Gelda xx

Here i am :-) Hi gelda, hi crue.
I'm glad crue gave you a nudge to tell us about the visit to the oncologist, gelda, i was wondering how you'd gone on.
Sorry to hear it wasn't a resounding success, so to speak :-)
Thinking of you, try to stay positive- you take it easy this week and get lots of rest and lovely grub to build yourself up for next week (i'm thinking cream cakes, chocs etc).
Much love, Bath xxx
gelda,
Just wanted you to know you were in my thoughts today.
Hope today was maybe a bit btter for you.
Look at it this way, they have not given up on you, they have decided to continue with the treatment, so that has to be a good sign.
Like we all keep telling you, positive thinking gelda. love xxxx

Thanks for asking Sanden, saw the oncologist yesterday, they're going to start me on chemotherapy next Monday, they have got to work out the best treatment for me and also I've got to get the drugs that I'm taking at the moment out of my system hence the delay with the chemo. Not looking forward to it but it's got to be done. I'll keep in touch. x
I will be keeping fingers crossed next week for you. Please keep us posted with your progress. Take care. xx
Question Author
Will do, thanks again for your concern,
Gelda x
Hi Gelda, how are you now? Are things going OK for you? xx
Question Author
Hi Sanden, thanks once again for your concern, I was supposed to start chemotherapy last Monday but I had a nasty tummy bug, they did a blood test and found my white blood cell count was right down so couldn't start the chemo, it's something that affects the immune system so as the chemo does as well they didn't want to leave me with no immunity, I had another blood test on Friday and have a hospital appointment tomorrow so I'll have to wait and see. Speak to you soon.

Good luck to you, I will be thinking of you. Let us know how you get on. x
Hi gelda. Just popped in to see how you're doing.
Hope they can start the treatment soon- good luck at the hospital tomorrow xx

Hi Bathsheba, I'm on my 3rd day of chemo, it's making me feel a bit rough and a bit sick but I keep telling myself it's for my own good, I've got 2 weeks on it then a week without and then I've got to have a blood test and a CT scan to see how it's going so that's about it, Thanks for asking.
