my ex-sister-in-law has 3 grandchildren at the age of 40, and one of them just started school.

I'm 40 with a 7 month old grandson by one daughter,3 month old grandaughter by my other daughter and the one with the 7 month old is pregnant again :-(
I can't say i'm happy about it but there is nothing I can do about it and I love them all to bits.My daughters both said they wanted me to enjoy my grandchildren whilst I can as I have an incurable condition and probably wouldn't be around to see them if they waited too long.

so there is lots of comments from me like
"they have ruined their lives"
"absolutley discusting at their age"
" i would be ashamed"

I just wanted to add that my daughters were 18 and 20 when they had their babies,they most definitely are not under age! and I wasn't underage when I had them. :-)

I know you weren't having a go at me Sara,but some people do judge when they hear that some grannies are actually relatively young. My older sis was only 31 when her 15 year old son got his girlfriend pregnant(yes she was underage when she gave birth to him).

A woman I have worked with for several years has been a granny several timea over...and she is just 40.
I have to admit tho that if my daughter had become pregnant at 15 I would have advised against keeping it. Children should not be parents.
